A compassionate passerby noticed a blanket lying on the street and discovered a severely injured dog underneath it. The dog, later named Harris, had endured significant abuse before being abandoned.

Upon finding him, Harris was urgently taken to Stray Rescue in Saint Louis for medical care. There, staff administered pain relief and intravenous fluids to stabilize his condition.

Volunteers stayed close, hoping for any sign of response from Harris, indicating that he could sense their presence.

Day by day, Harris has continued to surprise and inspire those around him. Despite the initial uncertainty about his chances of survival, Harris has surpassed all expectations, and even started running around energetically.
