A puppy was brought to a no-kill animal shelter after being found with a hairband tightly bound around her muzzle. This cruel act led to significant swelling, making her face three times its normal size.
Cincinnati Animal CARE, located in the United States, immediately attended to the puppy, providing emergency treatment by removing the hairband and stitching up the wound left behind.
The shelter staff named the puppy Tiffany, inspired by their favorite pop artist from the 1980s. It is suspected that the hairband was used with the intention to prevent the puppy from barking, akin to using zip ties for the same purpose.

The extent of the abuse became apparent through heart-wrenching posts shared by the animal center on Facebook.
Despite her ordeal, Tiffany showed great resilience during her urgent care, impressing the rescue team with her bravery. She spent her first night in the care of a medical team member.
Recent updates indicate that Tiffany is on the mend, eating and drinking well. Her swollen face has reduced substantially, and the wound is healing.
Cincinnati Animal CARE is actively seeking any information regarding Tiffany’s history and the person responsible for her abuse.

The organization PETA has even offered a reward to anyone who can help bring the perpetrator to justice. Individuals with any leads are encouraged to contact the Hamilton County Dog Wardens.
In a recent update shared by the shelter, Tiffany made a visit and was reported to be doing remarkably well, showing progress in her recovery and adapting positively in her foster home.
Tiffany’s story is a testament to the incredible resilience of animals. Despite her harsh experiences, she remains a cheerful and thriving puppy, continuing to show the world her happy spirit.
