When Stray Rescue of St. Louis received an unexpected phone call, they thought they had heard every possible rescue scenario.
The voice on the line informed them, “I just bought a house, and there’s a Pit Bull tied up in the basement.” The caller was unsure of how long the dog had been left there.
Upon arrival, the rescuers spotted a black and white Pit Bull eagerly looking up from the base of the stairs. Despite what must have been a frightening ordeal for the dog, she greeted them with a wagging tail and a gleaming smile.
The dog’s chain was so short that it only allowed her to reach the bottom step. Once she was freed, the team noticed a significant amount of waste throughout the basement, suggesting she had been there for quite some time.
As soon as the Pit Bull, lovingly named “Leaping Bean,” was brought outside, her excitement was uncontrollable. She bounced joyfully and pranced around, expressing sheer delight in her newfound freedom.
Leaping Bean continued to revel in her liberation, clearly enjoying every moment of her newfound freedom. Thanks to Stray Rescue of St. Louis, her future looks bright, and she’ll undoubtedly find a loving forever home soon.
