It’s heart-wrenching to see the situation that a gentle soul like Felix, a pit bull, has ended up in. Once adored by his owner, he was eventually abandoned on the streets, a throwaway casualty of inconsiderate actions.
Felix stands as an example of the cruelty some animals face. His body, painfully thin, highlights each bone, making his spine prominent enough to count each vertebra. His poor physique suffered further, as the contact between his bones and the ground caused additional harm.
Thinking about what Felix has endured is deeply saddening. To some, he may seem like he’s fading away without value. Often, people feel remorse yet lack true compassion. His eyes tell a story of sadness and hunger.
Upon examining him, a veterinarian discovered Felix was extremely underfed and had several injuries. The vet provided him with necessary medication and a nutritional plan. Additionally, Felix needs weekly check-ups to monitor his blood pressure.
Felix now resides in our shelter, where he eagerly wagged his tail, responding to the care offered. With a good appetite after enduring starvation, Felix receives both food and medical attention.
After a visit to the vet, Felix enjoyed a walk with a new collar. The days that followed saw a remarkable transformation. Thanks to a proper diet and loving care, his wounds started to heal, and he began gaining weight, leading to a healthier appearance.
In no time, Felix will be handsome once more, ready to become a cherished part of a new family.
