Zahara, 18, wore a more casual outfit consisting of a navy blue top, blue skinny jeans, and black-and-white low-top Converse Chuck Taylor sneakers.

The mother-daughter duo strolled through NYC, with Angelina carrying a large, quilted black leather YSL tote and Zahara holding an orange leather purse over her shoulder.

Zahara also sipped on a boba tea during their outing. The pair’s appearance came shortly after Angelina Jolie shared a post on Instagram highlighting a project in support of women in Iran.

Jolie’s post, shared with her 14.2 million followers, discussed an art project by her friend, Prune Nourry, to show solidarity with Iranian women fighting for equality and rights.

The Instagram post encouraged people to contribute to the project by sending a lock of their hair to a Paris address, and it contained a video showing individuals cutting off locks of hair as a symbolic act of support.

Jolie also shared a photo suggesting that Zahara had participated, with her hair snippet being sent for the project.

This public show of solidarity with Iranian women comes as protests continue following the death of Mahsa Amini, who died in police custody after being arrested for allegedly violating dress codes.
