Angelina Jolie and Elle Fanning brought their fashion A-game to Paris while promoting their new film, “Maleficent.”
The pair, who play Maleficent and Princess Aurora in the Disney reimagining, wore character-inspired outfits that drew attention at the promotional event on Monday.
Angelina, 38, showcased her iconic dark style with a black strapless peplum top by Ralph Laure paired with fitted trousers. She completed her look with bold cat’s eye eyeliner and glossy lipstick.
What caught the eye, though, were her shoes—Christina Louboutin heels with curved horns, mirroring her on-screen character’s distinctive appearance.
Elle Fanning, her 16-year-old co-star, also embraced the film’s theme with her footwear choice. She arrived wearing yellow and black pumps adorned with a cartoon queen moti and a gold crown.
Her outfit featured a dark green flared dress, delicate gold jewelry, and loose blonde hair. Elle seemed delighted with her choice, laughing and playfully showing off her shoes during the event.
The promotional event was held at the Bristol Hotel in Paris, where the two stars posed in front of a large film poster. They shared a lighthearted moment, with Elle laughing at a comment from Angelina.
“Maleficent” offers a reimagining of the classic 1959 Disney film, exploring the untold story of the iconic villain, played by Angelina Jolie. The story delves into what caused Maleficent’s heart to turn to stone.
In an interview with Interview Magazine, Elle admitted she initially felt daunted by the prospect of working with Angelina but soon found her warm and approachable.
“When you hear ‘Angelina Jolie,’ that’s just a name,” she said. “When I met her, she became flesh—someone who wasn’t just a big celebrity.”
Meanwhile, Angelina reassured fans that the new movie would respect the classic Disney storyline while bringing something fresh and unexpected.
“We’ve respected the classic; we’ve tried to bring you what you love about the story,” she said in a promotional video. “We also hope to bring a world you’ve never seen before.”
Angelina also shared her enjoyment in playing Maleficent’s dark and complex character. She previously told Entertainment Weekly, “I was quite sad to put my stuff down and put my horns away because somehow, she just lives in a different world.”
Interestingly, Angelina’s daughter Vivienne plays the young Princess Aurora in the film, while her other children, Pax and Zahara, have cameo roles.
