A golden retriever was struggling as she moved along the road, her hind legs clearly injured, causing her to limp painfully. Wearing a collar suggested she had an owner, yet no one was in sight.
The heavy traffic added to our worry as she repeatedly attempted to cross. We hesitated, hoping her owner might appear.

Eventually, we could bear it no longer and decided to approach her. Up close, we saw how severely injured her hind legs were – bleeding and crushed.
Some bystanders doubted she could be saved, but we clung to hope. We hurried her to a local veterinarian, who advised us to seek specialized care due to the extent of her injuries.

Further examinations revealed that saving her leg was impossible; amputation was the sole option. Her eyes reflected confusion and fear as she faced this new reality.
Although we had hoped to save her legs, ensuring her survival was the utmost priority. Making this decision weighed heavily on us, yet it was for her best interest.

The surgery was successful, and with time, she adapted to life on three legs. Her resilience and trust in us strengthened daily.
What began as a heart-wrenching rescue transformed into a story of healing and new beginnings. Now she runs and plays, embodying a spirit of perseverance against all odds.
