Michael Douglas recently learned he shares a surprising family connection with fellow actor Scarlett Johansson.

During an appearance on the PBS series “Finding Your Roots,” host Henry Louis Gates Jr. revealed that Johansson is a “DNA cousin” of Douglas.

The revelation left Douglas, known for his roles in “Ant-Man” and “Fatal Attraction,” in awe. “Are you kidding?” he exclaimed, adding, “Oh, that’s amazing. All right. This is cool. This is so cool.”

Gates explained that Douglas and Johansson share identical DNA segments on four different chromosomes, connecting them through their maternal lines that trace back to Jewish communities in Eastern Europe.

“That’s incredible,” Douglas responded, adding humorously, “Well, I look forward to seeing Scarlett next time!”

The actors previously shared the screen in the 2019 MCU blockbuster “Avengers: Endgame.”
