A train station worker recently alerted Paws Show about a dog in distress seeking refuge under a bridge at the station. The employee mentioned that the dog, a young Husky, had been there for three days, appearing in a dire state.
Responding to the call, the rescuers made the two-hour journey covering over 100 kilometers to reach the pup.
Upon arriving, they found the Husky overwhelmed with sadness, and tragically, he had been struck by a train. The team described him as a beautiful dog experiencing severe hardship, with a slim chance of survival.
Determined to give him every opportunity, they quickly decided to focus on saving his life.

As they rushed him to the vet, the rescuers were touched by his gentle nature. Despite his pain, the Husky remained calm and friendly. The urgent task at hand was to begin treatment and therapy.
At the veterinary clinic, the diagnosis was grim. The dog’s spine was broken, and even more alarming, an ultrasound revealed intussusception – a serious and, in many cases, fatal condition. They decided to name him Vova.
Vova’s condition worsened as he vomited twice on the second day, stirring fear among his caregivers. They worried that he might not survive the ordeal.

However, after 20 days of perseverance, Vova began receiving physical therapy three times a week. He showed resilience, managing to stand with assistance, though he was still extremely frail.
Around three months later, Vova adjusted to using a wheelchair. While initially confused, he gradually became comfortable and settled. For his caregivers, witnessing his zest for life underscored the importance of every small victory.
Vova’s journey from the brink of death to embracing life anew serves as a testament to the incredible value of perseverance, dedication, and compassion. With the collective help of his team of caregivers, Vova now has the promise of a brighter future.
