Scarlett Johansson, known for her roles in various romantic and action-packed films, recently opened up about an unexpected experience while filming Michael Bay’s 2005 sci-fi thriller, “The Island.”

While working alongside Ewan McGregor, Johansson revealed she wasn’t particularly fond of a kissing scene between them.

Despite her admiration for McGregor and excitement to collaborate with him and Bay, Johansson candidly expressed her dissatisfaction with McGregor’s kissing style, likening it to a teenage schoolboy.

However, she also acknowledged the uniqueness of filming intimate scenes with the “Star Wars” actor, quipping, “I get paid to make out with Ewan McGregor and roll around in bed all day. It’s a hard job, but somebody has to do it.”

The behind-the-scenes drama didn’t end there. Director Michael Bay faced challenges when trying to adhere to PG-13 guidelines for a particularly intimate scene involving Johansson.

The actress reportedly refused to wear underwear for the scene, insisting on a more risqué approach. Bay recounted the incident, recalling Johansson’s adamant refusal to wear a bra for the scene.

Despite Johansson’s unconventional requests and the anticipation surrounding the star-studded cast, “The Island” failed to impress critics and audiences, ultimately earning a disappointing $162 million at the box office. Critics labeled it as another typical Michael Bay film, lacking in substance.
