Realizing the kitten needed immediate, continuous care, Lynsey decided to take her home and hand-feed her every four hours.
This small kitten, who was later affectionately named Smush, was born with a cleft palate and other congenital issues. These conditions made her journey to recovery challenging from the start.
Soon after her rescue, Smush also battled a ringworm infection and an upper respiratory infection, adding to her ordeal.
However, Smush proved to be a true fighter. With Lynsey’s dedicated care and support, she slowly regained her strength.
Just a few months later, Smush had not only survived but thrived, joining a household brimming with life that includes two caring humans, three dogs, three other cats, and even a hedgehog.
