A small dog named Sophie went missing from her home in Santa Barbara, California, for a month, leaving her whereabouts during that time a mystery.
However, for three of those days, Sophie found herself trapped in a storm drain pipe, unable to escape on her own.
The 18-inch long pipe proved too tall for Sophie to climb out of, but fortunately, local firefighters came to her rescue. They devised a plan to guide Sophie gently toward one end of the pipe by using a hose.

As Sophie moved closer, a firefighter was ready to safely lift her out.
Thanks to the firefighters’ quick thinking and teamwork, Sophie was rescued unharmed from her precarious situation. Her family and the community are deeply grateful to the brave crew that saved Sophie from danger.
